Moya Delany was born in Swan Hill, Australia in the year man landed on the moon.

At 3 years old she began redecorating the family Californian Bungalow.

When she was aged 7 her family moved to Melbourne.

The first mohawk in her street, Moya's style developed in the fertile early 80s in Melbourne; she was a child of The Face and ID magazines, Razor Club and the Camberwell Market.

At Art School, under Howard Arkley, she forged formidable drawing skills and later developed a sophisticated language based on found objects, textures and meaning.

In New York in 1996, she was stopped in the street by Blondie's Deborah Harry, who's admiration of her style inspired her to create a unique accessory range and her own business - MOYA DELANY.

Between 1996 and 2006, her work was regularly featured in magazines such as American Elle, Country Life, Elle UK, Australian Vogue, Harper's and was stocked in shops such as Barneys (USA and Japan), Patricia Field, Browns, Lane Crawford, Le Louvre, Christine, Husk and many others.

Although still making made to order costume jewellery, she is currently exploring interior and architectural objects - through her first love, sculpture - which have found homes in hospitality, retail and domestic locations.

She also creates large and small light fittings of her own designs as well as her popular collaboration with artist, David Bromley.

Moya has recently been employed as the Melbourne scout and resident shopper for American company, Limited Brands.
